Upper Deck in Weeki Wachee

First time. One thing we liked was the tall highchair for children. Great for watching sports. Service was good. Fries good. Fish sandwich not too much not enough of the fillet, wasn't able to taste the fish. Would have been good if was bigger/thicker fillet. Chicken tenders good.

Great eating at the Upper Deck! The seafood was very fresh and the breading on the shrimp and grouper was light and tender. We enjoyed our outside seating on the deck, and the music above our table was at a comfortable level to enjoy the music and still be able to talk with each other. Thank you to our server, Kyle, who was excellent!

Good conch fritters. They were actually real as we are from the Keys.

Delicious food as always and very prompt. Didnt wait long to be seated or served. Great atmosphere and its nice to sit outside on the deck to people watch while people swim at rogers park. Best Lobster Bisque soup its a must every time we go! & I get a little bit of home when I have my MD Crab Cakes. Definitely approve! 👍👌

This was my first time visiting Upper Deck so I was unsure what to expect. Although I'm not a seafood fan the restaurant accommodates all types of appetites from Seafood to Sandwiches, Salads, Wings and more. I decided to go the appetizer route and ordered mozzarella wedges which tasted great but could have been just a tad hotter. I also ordered the margherita flatbread which was a great single serve portion for me. It tasted great and I would order it again. The service was friendly and quick and always checking on the table.

Half star.We've been enjoying all the little mom and pop restaurant's along the waters edge. We like the outdoor venue to socialize with good friends and family. I had been informed by co workers that The Upper deck had changed owners a little while back. I had the Fisherman's platter....which is Shrimp-Scallops and fish of choice. Mine was Cod. Had it Blackened....complete strike out. Quality won't bring me back. 1st time and last time customer.Paul

My wife and I stopped here a couple of weeks ago when we noticed it while investigating the area. We had a couple of beers and enjoyed the ambience. The next time we took some out-of-town visiting friends and we ate dinner. It was a little more crowded but we still managed to get seated on the outside deck. My wife had the French onion soup and chicken wings. I had shrimp. And our meals were excellent. Our friends were very pleased with the location and their food and beverage selections. Our waitress was excellent, though I have forgotten her name. She spoke with a slight German accent. Good experience.

First time I ever had blacken Gator. It was excellent. Tom was my waiter I sat on the put side deck. You can smoke out there. In the evening they had a band. The place was packed having so much fun. I will be back.

Maybe 3 1/2 stars. As the name implies, to be seated you walk up a staircase. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a bar area (indoors). Nice outdoor view of a river (sorry, don't know the name) to watch kayakers and swimmers. Staff was friendly and gave our party of 4 ample time to make our decisions. One selection was the shrimp po boy. Six shrimp served on a big hoagie roll. Good, but more bread than shrimp. The cole slaw on top was extremely too much. A tasty sauce was drizzled on top of the slaw but between the sauce and slaw it was very sloppy. Better to put the sauce on the shrimp and the slaw on the side. Burger was good but the tomato slice had a moldy spot on it. Fries were awesome!

We loved the food and the atmosphere....our waitresses were so nice and kept our drinks filled. We loved the view and saw a couple manatee while waiting on our food, which was excellent...we loved everything we ordered!!

Good food and cold beer! What else is there to say...

That food was amazing. I had the Cod and The Nacho Supreme with a Virgin Strawberry Daqauri and Strawberry Cheesecake and my husband had the Scallops and Buffalo Shrimp. First time trying some of the food and I'm really glad we stopped there. Beautiful spot, food is great, service is amazing. They had great personality and took care of us. Quality of food was good but you don't get alot for the same priced compared to others places and unlike other places the tables were packed together.. first time coming here and will be our last maybe a good place to just chill and drink but food isn't stellar

Great atmosphere and food! I love coming here but some of the prices (crab cakes) are way too high for the size. They are pretty good, just small and expensive. Everything else I find reasonable and tasty.

The view was the best part of the restaurant. Did not see much 'Social Distancing' occuring, unfortunately. The food was average at best. The waitress did not write our order down, and screwed it up. Doubt we will be going back.

Great food...no covid plan, no mask, no closed tables, zero social distancing...stay home till a vacccine

The view is fantastic, the live music is always good, drinks are great (especially the mermaid one) and the food is fantastic!

Great patio view over the water. The fisherman's platter was huge and amazing and the gator app was enjoyed by all. Absolutely looking forward to another visit soon.

We had a great lunch hear today with a beautiful view of the water. The fish tacos were amazing with the best pico de Gallo I’ve ever had. The children’s chicken & fries were perfectly cooked and the buffalo chicken sandwich medium spice was just right.

Slow Service And We Seemed Ignored Sometimes. Never Asked How Is Everything,Would You Like More Coffee? It Was Never Like That When John And Dory Owned The Place. Food Is Still Very Good Though.

Service was excellent! Food was excellent! You will be excellent if you become an Upper Deck regular! Inside or outside, you can view the water, feel the old Florida vibe, and connect with nature. Try the wedge salad. It looks as good as cake!

Large outside deck seating area. I tried fisherman's platter blackened. The price was reasonable for portion and quality. The food was good grouper was best then shrimp and lastly scallops. The scallops were not chewy they just did not melt in the mouth like high end cooking or product. The staff was friendly and attentive. This is a good place to go right next to Rodger's Park. Nice drink options and selection with good pricing. Good stop if in area with nice view of river.

I love sitting on the Upper Deck outside and looking at the water and seeing everyone having a blast. The food always smells amazing. I've been here on a couple occasions and twice I've gotten shredded cheese on my lemons. I don't know if it's just a crazy coincidence or if they just have the two things super close together. This time it wasn't too busy, our waitress was very sweet and friendly. The food is pretty much all made in house I'm guessing but some things are really lacking in seasonings.. this time I got the grouper basket and while it was decent, I don't feel it was worth 15$ for the size of the portions I received. It did come with two sides but they were also incredibly small portions. Potato salad and fries. I'm only fine with how much I paid because I love the appeal of the restaurant. Great atmosphere, okay food.

Place is great with delicious food the blonde girl Stephanie was our waitress and did an excellent job she made sure our table was clean, checked up on us to keep drinks refilled, and even got wet helping us inside when we were dining outside and it started to rain superior job all around I definitely recommend the place to everyone I will be returning

Cool place food was 0kay typical beach bar food locaction was really cool lots of things to do outside of the bar. Definitely give it a try.

We live walking distance. Food is great we have never had a bad meal.

Only thing good was the views. Burgers are nothing special and the cheese came out unmelted and the shredded kind. The salad wasn’t cleaned very good and very gritty. Caesar dressing was awful. The grouper was over breaded and not enough fish. The beer tasted like it had been sitting then tried to get it cold again. Please do better and actually use social distancing. Every table was seated outside and no space at all. Even the servers had some covering their face and others with their noses sticking out. Would not recommend!

Visited for the first time. We all had something different and everyone loved their food. We all agreed the fries were awesome. I had the Ruben and wish I was able to get another. I will def visit again when I visit. We visited at night but it was a nice winter night to sit on the deck. Kids enjoyed watching the fish in the river.

Good food , service is ok...

A must visit mello hole in the wall atmosphere, really decent food and friendly service. Overlooking the river and a small Beach area, there is sometimes manatees swimming by. It was nice that even with boats and swimmers it was pretty quiet. Definitely a good place for a quiet and relaxing dining experience. There were couples and families eating here and it was still quiet and easy to have a conversation. We had chicken strips, nachos, peal and eat shrimp, French onion soup and clams. Although the shrimp was deveined, it seemed a bit over cooked. All the rest of the food was really good. The French onion soup was definitely worth the visit. A lot of the menu food is made from scratch which adds to the experience. Highly recommend a visit if in the North of Tampa area!

Best stop after boating or a day on the river. The food is great and the drinks are cold. Try the fish tacos and mozzarella wedges, you won't be disappointed.

Great food at a good price. Right on the weeki wachee river. Beautiful view in the outside seating area. Will definitely be eating there again

My family and I came here after our day at the spring and loved it! The menu is awesome and the location is amazing. Great view of the spring and the food was perfect!

Relaxing atmosphere, good service and decent food! Enjoyed watching the kayaks and boats go by.
